I came out of ashtabula last night headed west, I got on the turnpike and got shut down at the first service plaza west of Cleveland. I don't know why people incist on driving in inclement weather, load not worth getting hurt over. Does anyone know if the shop in Ottawa is open Sundays?

Supposed to be according to sheet. Give them a call: 866-442-4868 or, 815-434-2609.
Good luck! Small parking lot.
-
Well if any of you girls can find a parking spot at the Pilot in Syaracuse, NY and walk across 81 to Tully's I'll buy you a beer or two. I'll have on a black sweatshirt and be there most of Sunday. You have to mention "Tupperware" .
Another real unproductive week here -
I agree, snow is one thing and I can drive in snow at a slower speed , ICE fugetaboutit. Time to park the rig at the nearest safe haven and let dispatch know you have a weather delay.

There was a bar right around the corner from the pilot but havbt been there in years

Having talked to a few drivers that made it through that storm before the demolition derby ensued said it was just a minor rain, then within a few miles, it turned into a steady freezing rain as the front drifted a little farther south. For some reason that part of I70 gets hit like that a couple time a year...sorta like the part of I65 up by Lafayette, IN that'll ice over with just flurries

Nope its closed today, I noticed the KC shop is closed saturdays now. BTW where is ceder creek at? I used to live down the road from the ceder creek grist mill between woodland and amboy.
-
I live across the street from Nick's Tavern. You know where that is. Wife works up at the market.
-
Yea I know Nick's havnt been in there for years. Sad to see Fargher Lake closed, my buddy (who is also a Crete driver), worked at the Fargher Lake store years ago, also did a stint at Chelatchie Prairie. Him and his wife live up off 503. Where do you park at when you go home?
-
I park at home. Have 10 acres with a drive down to my shop. Have to back in off of 503. Gets interesting at times.
