1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Want to drive for Landstar but don't own a truck?

Wish I had seen your ad before I went to work where I am now. I would definately have been interested. Would you have hired a guy in South Dakota? Maybe you'll be needing someone again, in the future if I ever decide to leave here.

flatbed, you are for sure in the minority then.

it is rare that anyone on percentage gets a cut of the fuel surcharge.

Wouldn't the FSC go to the OP...in a sense, you wouldn't be an O/O but a "leased to" driver not much different than driving a company truck. The company driver doesn't get the FSC, the company does!

About .45. You get 34% of the truck's line haul. I am not the one hiring. The owner is an older guy and doesn't do internet too much, so I posted for him.

I drive for him as well. It's as close to owning a truck as you can get without the repair bills.:yes2557:

So far this week, I did the following trips.

    Miles Pay per mile
    329 $3.46
    549 3.44
    348 3.26

Fuel is like .43 this week. Weeks ends Tuesday at 2pm.

    trucker43 Thanks this.

OK so who's paying fuel and tolls? That is what is going to be the deciding factor if its a good deal or not. most expedite owners pay a 60%/40% split. whoever gets the 60 is also getting 100% of FSC and pays all tolls and fuel.

34% of truck line haul plus accessorials Never MENTIONED drivers pay did it but the % paid for LINE HAUL of which FSC is part of with LANDSTAR. Maybe if you stopped :biggrin_25523: at everyone and THINK about what was posted you would get the point.
