I believe the 2 stands for 2012.
So for the rest of the year when you go through scales, those guys know you've already been inspected and passed, less likely for you to be pulled into the scales. I also heard this 'passing' Level 1 will qualify as a DOT inspection for Landstar so you can skip the 120 day til the next round.gerardo1961 Thanks this. -
the 2 is for 2012....its good for 90 day
bullhaulerswife and gerardo1961 Thank this. -

Ahhhh Your wrong on this... You can have the sticker and still get inspected... its not a free pass by anymeans....gerardo1961 Thanks this. -
The 2 is for 2012 and the corner being cut off represent which calendar "quarter" you were inspected in. It is not a free pass, but if you have been inspected in the past 30 days in CA and have your paperwork, that is your free pass. They do look for those stickers and use them as a determination of who to pull in for random inspections.
I had a current sticker, got the light to circle for inspection, pulled into the bay and the CHP saw the sticker and let me pass right through on my way without even asking for my paperwork from the last inspection.bullhaulerswife and gerardo1961 Thank this. -
January, February, and March - Green
April, May, and June - Yellow
July, August, and September - Orange
October, November, and December - White
Drivers see different shapes to the CVSA inspection stickers. This is due to the month of the quarter issued and is corner coded for longevity. CVSA decals affixed on the first month of a new calendar quarter must have both upper corners removed. Those issued during the second month of the same quarter must have the upper right corner removed. No corners are removed from those CVSA decals issued during the last month of a calendar quarter.
CVSA decals, affixed, will remain valid for the month of issuance plus two months. An example is a CVSA decal issued on July 30 and it will expire September 30 (third month of the quarter).Boardhauler and gerardo1961 Thank this. -
