'Convoy' recently popped up on my Netflix as a suggested movie so I watched it for the first time in almost forever. After I watched it, more trucking movies began to pop up, so I've had myself a little Trucker Movie Festival the last couple of weeks. So far I've seen:

Convoy 1978 (Kris Kristofferson, Ali MacGraw, Ernest Borgnine)

Trucker 2008 (Michelle Monaghan, Jimmy Bennett, Nathan Fillion)

Flatbed Annie and Sweetie Pie: Lady Truckers 1979 (Annie Potts, Harry Dean Stanton, Kim Darby)

Deadhead Miles 1972 (Donna Anderson, Alan Arkin, Madison Arnold)

High-Ballin' 1978 (Peter Fonda, Jerry Reed, Helen Shaver)

It's been a little nostalgic seeing all these movies. Gotta Say I like High-Ballin the best so far.

    What's your favorite?

Trucker was a good movie. I thought that kid played a pretty good part even though his mom's life was a train wreck.

Is that "high ballin'" with Henry Fonda from 1978 about him dying and he gets his truck out of impound and goes cross country for his final run as he meets up with a "madam" from his past and her working girls ? I think Kennen Wynn was in it also.

High Ballin was my favorite. Couldn't stand "Trucker" only watched like 20 minutes of it.

High-Ballin' stars Henry's son, Peter Fonda, as well as Jerry Reed and Helen Shaver. Netflix paraphrases it as "When a rash of targeted hijackings threatens the independent trucking business, two rig drivers take the law into their own hands."

    Pretty good flick!

I bought Big Rig on DVD when it first came out, after it got all the praise from several film festivals. I need to watch it again. I love documentaries and wish I knew of some other good trucking docs.

I forced myself to watch Trucker all the way through. Could have been a good flick. Didn't know what it wanted to be, concentrated on too many interpersonal relationships for such a short movie.
