WS has very few complaints, anything specific you'd like to know?...And is that 'more home time and more pay' from a set of facts or a recruiter?
I don't know about DOT but WS has no trainer time so depending on how long you have to be with one at DOT and what they pay during that time, you could probably make more than $2K at WS...That's pure speculation as I don't know anything about DOT, just saying....dirtycurty26 Thanks this. -
just numbers from there websites so i know not that credable just doing the research for now, the Dot Foods website say 45k a year and w/s says 43k i know not much of difference. I really want to go with w/s after reading a lot from at's thred and considering dot as a runner up. I really dig the 10 days no trainer in missoula then out on your own to make a living.

DOT Foods hands down! Drivers average 60-70k or more. Very low turn over. Drivers that work there have nothing but good things to say if you search the thread. They do unload but more by pallet jack and are different from the regular foodservice industry with unloading I believe. The trucks I see don't have ramps or liftgates so they seem to bump docks. They deliver to my company regularly so they don't touch the freight. If I lived in Modesto I'd go there.

they both seem very good im going to have to do more diging on dot to see what its like i have a pretty good idea how w/s is.

I drive for Dot out of NY and couldn't be happier. We do unload but you get paid well for throwing the freight. Lemme know if you have any questions maybe I can help you out.

I don't work for DOT but I see their drivers quite often. I asked one of them about the unloading and he said they do it all the time but they make a pretty good chunk of change doing it. The guys I've talked to seem real happy working for them for what thats worth.

Hey J-Ro, good to see a fellow Syracusian!
I knew a guy i used to work with at a local dairy who went to you guys and loved it. Had people that talked with him a few times after he left and he never had a bad thing to say about DOT.
I left that dairy last July for US Foods, and have to say. If you can handle the work, you wont be able to find a job that pays like food service delivery! -
Thanks for the replies everyone. I been real busy with school and work so I finaly found some time to get on. J-ro i have a question for you how long is the traning period usually? and do you know how much they pay while in traing thank you. Not too much about them on here, and i have yet to hear anything bad.

Training is usually around 8 weeks, and is $500 a week, but they pay for all of your meals whether you're out on the road with a trainer or in house. Overall, training was a good experience for me because it takes a little practice to get efficient at breaking down the product, plus as a new driver it's always nice to have someone there to coach you through some of the really tricky docks we have to get into.123456 Thanks this.
