I hate those sneakey little basterds when they jump out at ya like that. That is the one drawback to these new aero trucks. I had a snow bank attack my bumper on the 1st new century class I had a few years ago.
I want to invent a spring loaded mount system for the side skirts on these truck so that if a driver gets into a real bad uneven spot,(like some of the scrap paper places and paper mills we go to) it won't rip them off. That wouldn't help bumper vs. curb situations but that would save a lot of fiberglass damage on the sides.

You'd think the morons that invented them would have put just a tad more into their invention... Ijs

Well the folks (engineers) that design the aero part and the buyers (bean counters) that insist on using a cheap lightweight product like fiberglass. These folks never have driven a truck under conditions we run into. It is amazing that most of the scrapes happen in parking lots at customers and truck stops!

They must have money invested in replacement aftermarket parts manufacturers.

Glad to see the forum is back up! Had me worried.

SS, thought this article might be of some help if you decide to lodge a complaint against Crete...

Anybody else having trouble with MT reports not being received? I have sent mine 5 times now. It did not help when the dispatcher who gave me previous load had me "T-called" after stop #2 in Nashville. By hustling I completed all 3 stops early and am in Tulsa. The load offer was in TN. I thought the message offered me to t-call if I wanted too because of the delayed delivery on the 12th. I guess the arrival/departure messages don't override a t-call. Learn something new every day. Maybe it is that new and improved update they installed last week.

Some of the dispatchers don't have a clue. I dropped a load at the yard in Greensboro, NC one time and night dispatch wanted to send me to Goldsboro for an empty.
Another time I get empty in Amarillo, message on qualcom says go to El Paso and check in in the morning, I do that and get a message back "why are you in El Paso?"

Fellow Cretans, I am presently on my last load as a Creture. Tomorrow I will be turning my truck in at the Indy terminal. On 3/19, I will be flying to Dallas to start orientation at Poly trucking. I wish you all the best and will always wave as I pass you in the hammer lane with my 68mph truck. Seriously. I will continue to watch the Crete board and wish you all the best. Chemster signing out...
jdrentzjr, ampm wayne, JimBob24 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Wish ya the best of luck! Poly seems like a stand up company! I'll be sure to wave right back at ya... Wishing my poor crete could go that fast.
JimBob24 Thanks this.
