SSB...were you at Lenoir City around...say....5PM Saturday afternoon?

I was there typing nasty messages to Tim in Lincoln. Very nearly had my wife come get me. Long story short, I made a trade-off. More time out in exchange for a considerably long (almost vacation-long) break next time at home.

If you were there, I was in the blue PS running through the wash bay....sorry I didn't check this earlier!

I had a great week, I picked up a load Saturday in Ashtabula with 2 stops on Long Island on Tuesday. Got reloaded 1\4 mile from my first stop. I was about 12 into my 14 so I stayed the night at the shipper, Applebees down the street :).
Went down to South Boston, VA for Wednesday night. Thursday picked up a load in Danville VA going to Newark ish NJ Friday morning. Reloaded and went to North Vernon, In on Saturday morning. The next load picks up Sun going to Memphis ish TN. So I should swing by home Sunday night.

1751 paid miles for the week, around 7600 miles for April.
\ I ain't got an asset manager, I really don't want one because I have a feeling if I ever had to meet him at Lincoln, I'd have to push him outside so he could smoke one.

    48Packard Thanks this.

I'm actually looking forward to an AM....one person to work with, for the most part, instead of asking for whoever handles the region you're in.

The main thing of interest for me is home time. I think one person would improve my chances of getting home on time. I know it's been that way with every other company I've been with, and generally it has worked out well.

I finished last week with 2985 miles. Deliver Monday in OH, and will have 1150 for the young week.

I hate that wash bay, if I try to use the wand sprayers I trip a light and get drenched. Then it won't rinse the truck off and I have to go back thru. Maybe I should ask how the hell it works, but that wouldn't be no fun.

Yup, I was there. Got there around 0700...after 930 dropped trailer and pulled to the lot on the other side of fuel island. Since I started my 14 at midnite and only had a couple hours of sleep, took a nap until it got too hot w/only the windows open. Just around 1600 ish went in and grabbed a shower...was out running my mouth in the tv room by 1700 while I scarfed down a bowl of soup.... Just got back in truck around midnite.

A funny thing happened when I went to go grab supper. The mechanic said as long as I watch oil level it's ok to run for chow. As I walked from the terminal to my truck, 10 feet before I get there, a little 8" snake was just laying there staring at me...I tried to catch him/her in a tupperware bowl and give it to the office as a Monday morning wake up surprise...but it didn't want to cooperate and got away. Sorta looked like an oak snake. Kinda like a diamond back rattler w/o rattles and a little different pattern on it's back. Too bad, woulda been fun to watch their reaction and see how far they can jump, and how fast they can run... Could been the start of a new Snackbar cardio exercise class.:biggrin_2559:

Well since I iz only a stooped truk dreyevr, the computer didn't tell me that it was due, and it was on the trailer that got me home to meet with my lawyer, so checking the dot inspection date wasn't on my mind. Lights, tires, brakes, air leaks, body damage...license plate not rusted off, all legal...and it was my 3rd load out of Social Circle in a row with no reload :biggrin_2555:... I was good to go. Besides... it still woulda took the brain trust in Lincoln hours to get their head out of their butt and produce one whether I was home or sitting at Social Circle or at a dot inspection...
