9,13, and some 18 speed shifters often only go up to number 8............
Unless you're driving a dump truck, it's most likely a 9 speed. -
Anyway...... I am enjoying my first hometime since upgrade. Going to the beach this afternoon. I'll be back out at it Thursday. So far, I got my CB hooked up, shelves put in( $2 @ Home Depot, from the cull wood) Hula gator, mats and carpet, medical and tool kits, 12v cooler, 400w inverter and cleaning supplies. I was buying a little here and there since I started school and while in training and rumor is I'll be getting a crockpot and Coleman grill/stove for my cakeday in 3 weeks. And I updated the maps and software on my Dezl last night.
tna Thanks this. -
hahahaha....what else does a "GATOR" need other than a 12v cooler and his HULA GATOR!?!
hahaha....I LOVE IT! -
Got my first load out of the house yesterday. Picked up a paper load to TN. Stopped in North GA last night and darn if one mudflap had ripped and the other was torn off! This morning I replaced them both(real drivers carry tools) and now I'm sitting an hour away from reciever waiting on my deliver time. Next load is headed to IL. The cobra 29 I bought on eBay works great! Black Chrome for $60. Not bad. Naptime.

Been up to Kentucky. Had some mudflap misadventures(the trailer I had kept sucking them up over the tandems and spitting them out). 3 times. Visited some family near St.Louis I hadn't seen in 10 years. Back in Kentucky KY and headed to Atlanta tomorrow.
-
Just outside Atlanta at the same Loves I was at last week. Tomorrow will be one week out. Over 2400 miles. Did work with the hills on 75 in Tennis today. It wouldn't have been too bad except that I have 45k of charcoal in the box( <500 LBS under gross and scaled legal thank you very much). Haha. I am enjoying getting good spots at truckstops. Did you know there are ALOT of people who can't back?
Seriously. Yesterday (and I'm not bragging or putting down Werner) I was at a Dollar General DC, and I was watching Werner drivers drop trailers in a wide open gravel area. The guard gave me a numbered area and the distance between trailers was about 60'. Very tight.
I had to slide the tandems all the way forward, blindside Jack the trailer into the spot(with several G.O.A.Ls), then slide the tandems back.
It was a challenge to say the least(especially for a new hand such as myself). Morning rushhour in Atlanta tomorrow.tna Thanks this. -
613 miles today! 10 hrs 41 min line 3. Went from Alabama to Virginia. Hot shower and a cold salad at the Hook on I-81.
Tomorrow I'll deliver in PA, pick up my next load and head to MD. -
I see Arnold is hiring out of Chester VA. Have you been to that terminal yet?
-
No I haven't. I ran from AL to PA in a day and a half. Running on recap I was able to make it to MD with 1 1/2 hrs left this morning. 3 days off and a good load out of here was worth the hustling I've been doing. First real check today was nice. Got my tuition reimbursement($150/Mon) and payed on all the bills I scanned in. Found out yesterday my truck used to be a US Xpress truck and they want their toll and prepass boxes back. So I guess Ill have to start stopping at weigh stations until I can get to a terminal to get Arnold ones.
No big deal.
