I want to say a great big thank you to ALL reefer drivers. I love eating steak, chicken, strawberrys, chocolate, and coolwhip. Without each and everyone of you taking care of your load our food choices would be pretty boring.

I don't have a problem if you reefers, as long as you don't have a Detroit that rattles like a mofo and a air dryer that has a hissy fit every minute.

I pull tk reefers and they are programed to autoselect continuous or stop start based on temp setting. Even if it wasn't, diesel costs money and stop start takes less fuel. Parking is at a premium when you stop driving at 1900, so deal with it. We have to live by HOS too, and deliver to a lot of places that will leave you sitting 6-24 hours if you're 15 minutes late, so taking your time isn't an option.

Taking your time is the ONLY option. I don't mean that in a way where you screw around so much you will be late, but with proper planning, all can work out well. If you rush things, you make mistakes. I am not saying you gotta drive 60 mph everywhere, I am referring to say, parking at a truck stop, racing in the truck stop, driving in and out of lanes, that sort of thing. Here's an idea .. If you start your day a little earlier than everyone else (4 am?) and get parked by (6 pm?) life is WAY easier. Adjust as necessary.

Taking your time leads to getting in even later at night. I start as early as I legally can, but you have to work your days around appointments, so if you have a pick up at 1000, and need to have it delivered tomorrow night 20 hours away, you're not stopping until at least 2000-2200 on day 1. Thats what I mean when I say taking your time; we frequently have to drive 10-11 hours a day, and the time we drive is dictated by the appointments. I'm not condoning any of the things you said.

Hence why reefer-tuggers all pretty much drive like the load was supposed to be there yesterday....
I run 15 quite frequently...Portions in UT you can run 80 mph.....I run 70....And get my doors blown off by Reefers running 100+...Yep.....There's still Triple digit rigs out there.....

Maybe the indie's. I'm governed at 65, and drive 62-65 when it's legal. Most reefer freight movies on trucks governed between 62 and 68
