Kind of a dangerous question to ask, Rate can very, Make sure you do know the rate before you call a broker, if they catch on you dont know the going rate, a lot of them will try and low ball you, Wish i could help you with that figure, Im not in the O/O game anymore, Also I have met some O/O that will also give you bad info, in trying to keep thoughs better rate jobs for themselves, or saved for a buddy of there's

 

usually frozen outta chicago area pays good and michigan produce is running

 

Every week the Federal Government puts out a list of produce shipping areas. They tell you where trucks are in short supply, what the rates are, and where there too many trucks. I have used it quite often.

 

I am only a company driver, but always curious. Looked on google but can't seem to locate that list. Do you have a link?
