If you are a hard sleeper then u can sleep well, and sometimes you are so tired that is what happens. Trying to sleep while your co driver is driving through a traffic jam sucks too because you can feel all the stop and go stop and go. Just best to make a deal with your co driver that when anyone of you get tired to let the other know and to not push it because its just not worth it. -
I had a very difficult time sleeping in the moving truck. I'd end my driving shift and still be all amped up then try to lie down, but every single bridge overpass is a huge bump getting on the bridge and getting off. Might get a couple hours of restless sleep out of 8 hours. All you can really do is trip plan well enough to not necessarily start your driving directly after your partner is done with their shift, and try to get some more rest while the truck is stopped, maybe kick him out to go get his shower and ask him to go watch a movie in the lounge for about 4 hours.

is normal that a female trainer to take male trainee's and train them and the trainer's when the trainer take down time is it normal for them to take them home with them even if they are married im just asking
-
Yes it could be normal. But for the most part I hear trainers usually letting the people stay in the truck or at a hotel. When they are on home time. If you are worried about them having sexual relations. They could be doing that in the truck. She doesn't have to take him home to do that. If your hubby is faithful you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

After a few days of tossing and turning you'll get sufficient sleep to make it through.
When you get on your own though it's not regular hours. You might wake up one morning and deliver. Then dead head to your next load. The next load might not come out until late at night and you are expected to drive again.
You can control your sleep better by the longer the haul. That's one reason I hate short haul because you never know about your sleep. My last company averaged 900-1200 mile runs which fit me fine. When I ran produce my runs averaged 2400 miles.
Once you make it to trainer status you have a company trust that they will support you if there was any problems.
I had a female trainer when I started. She was an old timer and a great instructor. The company asked me if I would have any problems with a female trainer. Nope, I was ready for my training. I was focused on getting trained, seeing the country for the first time and getting my own truck. Besides all that you are too tired to think about anything else.
Once you get a student you usually don't go home until you get rid of them. Home time is in between students. There might be 34 hour restarts or such. With my trainer we were usually busy doing our own thing like laundry, sleeping and such. -
When i was a trainer the trucking company did not ask how may miles a day I wanted to run. They told us we are dispatching your truck at 1,200 miles a day.
