This is all true, but try getting one of those knuckle-headed DOT cops to see the logic in that! :biggrin_25524::biggrin_2551::biggrin_25510:

Federal Law on the Daylight Savings time is this. You log according to the clock. If you are driving during the Change you log it as if it did not occur. So you can drive 12 hours and log 11. If you are being paid by the hour, you will work 1 hour free. In the Spring, you would get paid for working an hour that you did not work. The cops that would pull you over know this. Of course do not work unsafe. But don't worry about legal. Drive if you want to and stop if you want to.

Personally, I look forward to Spring forward as I can make love for an hour and 10 seconds if I time it right.

Pulling over for an hour at the stroke of 0200 AM is an urban legend myth. Last night I drove along watching the time on the elogs click over from 0159 to 0100, my logs line 3 showed at that time 7:49, one minute later showed 7:48, no need whatsoever to pull over to account for the 'lost' hour.

However in the minutes leading up to 0200, trucks were pulling over en masse, I must have been the only one running for that hour.

Here's what happens when you drive through 0159 and it turns into 0100 again:

A big nothing happens, you don't turn into a pumpkin, the universe doesn't implode, and the black helicopters don't come swooping in strafing you for violating hours of service.
