I'm in Columbia sc. Trying to get out of bed. Flip flops are you by the tracks? I hate that one if you are. They are so slow. We store cookies in there that takes forever to get loaded.

Over the last week I finally got the last states I needed so I've driven all of the lower 48 now. Went from Indianapolis to Richmond BC so I hit up Montana, Idaho and Washington. Then on the way down to Texas I went through Oregon.

So yes, I went over Snowqualmie Pass and up Cabbage Hill in one day. :)
Actually Cabbage was easy, aside from the 45mph curves...

I was loading at their warehouse in back, on 10th Ave NW....dog snacks rather than big bags of food. I was still shocked by the weight....thought I had missed reading a page of the BOL! But our load info was full of cautionary things: "Driver must count product. DO NOT SIGN unless driver counts"....blah, blah, blah.

After all was said and done, every page was checked "Shipper load and count" by them.

Took a micro bus to a town about 2 hrs from where I am staying. Beautiful sunny day, very hot and dry. Spent about 6 hrs walking around to get to know the place, to visit a couple of doctors, to run some errands and buy a few things. Next time I will drive there.

Looks like there are more motorcycles in that town than vehicles...

Then, saw an ox walking down the street and decided to follow it...

Funny to see stray animals wandering on the street like that...

At the end of my walking day, took another micro bus back to the town where I am staying but the bus didnt go all the way... Had to get off at a fuel station about 40 mins far from that town. Saw a lady waiting for a ride to that same town and decided to join her. In less than 10 mins a gentleman in a sport utility stopped and offered us a ride... :biggrin_25519: He seemed to know the lady but curious about who I was... Told him my dad lives in that little town... Found out the gentleman knows my dad and his wife. There is something nice about small towns where everybody knows everybody... The bad side is the gossip... :biggrin_25510:
