Supersnack, when I was driving a Cretan prostar, I had a similar noise with my bunk heater. In my case, it was the electric fuel pump going out. That would explain why the noise is erratic because the pump will cycle on and off according to temperature demands. The electric coolant pump could be the issue too, but it pumps constantly while the unit is on so would make a more constant whine if it were failing. Check the heater fuel pump.

I'll be in New Kingstown in the morning to get mine fixed. Had to get Cory to take me off a load that picked up at 1800 this evening. This was at around 9 this morning. Finally told him I'd be hitting my 14 at the dock and I had no bunk heat. He put me on a load to Carlisle.

I was in New Kingstown Saturday night. Had a Pottsville, delivery on Sunday. Now I have a huge 384 mile load delivering in Massachsetts today. At least my bunk heater works since Marietta replaced the unit last month.

My bunk heater also now works...turns out the blower in the unit itself failed. But now, I'm stuck in hell, otherwise known as Coryland. Made a short run up to Tobyhanna this morning, and headed to pick up a load by Scranton to go to Raymond, NH. This will be 3 lousy weeks in a row, and my givadam is now broken.

I'm just going to shut up, do my job, and get the hell out of OTR by September, 2013, come hell or high water. I've had it.

Mostly vacation considerations. Got a big family gathering next September, and changing jobs now would erase any vacation. But I'm looking at other options as well.

I hear ya...about Coryland. Last load was Hazleton to Whitman, MA. then Northampton, MA to Gordonsville, VA (sitting at Wally World now). Now tomorrow they got me on a Front Royal, NJ to Carteret, NJ. Hazmat picks up and delivers on Thursday.

It's weird because it doesn't even seem like Crete has true OTR any more. I seem to be limited to the Eastern half all the time. I don't know what the pay breakdown is, but it just doesn't seem fair. If I was running across the open West, it would seem like a cakewalk compared to this hell.

Left home this morning on a load out of Palatka, FL going to Cincinnati for anytime. The load says 908 miles, but the fuel routing has added another 50+ for 50 gal of fuel...oh well, not my money. For a hometime week it'll put me just under 1400. I think the EGR is going on my truck again. It's either that or one of the turbos. It's making that high pitched wheeze again like it was doing a month or so before the last EGR went bad. This time of year I don't expect my miles to be enough to make my tongue drag the dirt. And if the politicians(on both sides of the isle) don't quit throwing a hissey fit at one another, miles won't pick up until spring. Since my daughter is still staying with us recooperating from her gall bladder surgery, my grandkids were there my whole home time...I swear they will be politicians since they're so good at throwing temper tantrums...and the oldest is almost 3
