I miss driving the big truck in the American roads.... but the time I have been spending here is PRICELESS!!! :yes2557: Life is short... Priorities are priorities... and the truck and the road will be there when I go back... hopefully.

169 is not that bad. I use it when running to Tulsa or the smaller villages in the area. Much, much better than 75, or 59. I've never had to camp at that state line truckstop in Coffeyville though. I've stopped there once for a P break and refill my coffee. One of the attendants got rude to a driver I was running with. There was a problem with one of the coffee machines, and he just pointed it out. We figured that's the last time we would stop there.

Let's see been to Claflin, Ks a couple of times this week, in fact just today, and will be headed back again in the morning. Went from there to Lincoln (KS), picked up some beans for Bunge (Emporia). Went I-70 to Salina, then 135 to 56. Made the trip fast enough today, that my dispatch message for tomorrow said I don't have to hurry up there. After taking rocks to Claflin I'll pre-load salt at Lyons to be delivered on Monday.

So home for the evening again.

Loading onions in Delta CO for Atlanta. Rates are getting cheaper on these loads. I think it's time to move on.
