Well today was the day we had our last day of orientation, It was a long boring day again. We watched a few Power Point presentations and a depressing movie, then the safety guy came in and talked with us for 2 hours. Then someone else from safety came in and talked again to us about Safety, and then we had lunch and came back and talked more safety stuff for almost another hour. After that we did our I9s and EEO paperwork and we all got out Driver Codes. I think the great thing is 9 of us started together and finished together and we all had mentors assigned to us. 4 already left tonight and 5 of us are at the hotel one more night since we are leaving tomorrow with our mentors.
I was the only one of the five that already was able to put my stuff in my mentors truck since it was at the terminal to be fixed. So I was given the keys and put my stuff away and he is coming back from hometime in the am so we can get on the road.
I also set up my comdata card and tomorrow when I get up I plan to head to the terminal to start working on videos and test that we have to complete within the next 42 days. Well that is about it for now. Not sure when I am going to post again. Possibly tomorrow.inkeper Thanks this. -
Have fun. You appear to have the right attitude for being out here.

Tired and getting ready for bed. I drove for 5 hours my first day today. We are pre-planned for tomorrow to go from VA to Billing, MT.

Good job. 5 hours is respectable. It takes 100% concentration to drive these things. After a long day my neck and shoulders feel like I've been carrying a heavy backpack all day. Soon you will build more driving endurance and settle into it.

Wait you're from North Carolina did you have to take another physical again! I was told that since I'm from NC that I would have to take the DOT physical before going to the school..

So I had to tell everyone, I am so excited in less then 2 hrs I will be at Iowa 80. First load with Mentor and we are stopping there.

Woohoo! Btw, did anyone you went to orientation with drive their own car? I imagine that if they did, they could leave their car at the terminal whilst out with their mentor?
