    I remember when a 48x96 was a big trailer.

I remember actually wanting a cabover - LOL.

I remember when truck stop parking lots didn't have lines painted to show people how to park - and we all managed just fine.

I remember being able to leave the house with nothing but a Diamond Shamrock card, a Texaco truck card, and a checkbook, and being able to get anything I needed anywhere I went. Fuel, tires, cash, even an overhaul if a guy needed it.

I remember when truck drivers all looked out for each other.

:biggrin_25524: i rember sliding the hose under the cab as well, i rember the lot lizard's banging on your door , as you try too sleep, i rember the yellow tear off on the fuel slip for a shower, at the pilot or a free cup of coffee at the pilot if you got a fill up, i rember the credit card slips and no computer any-wear , i rember the family resturant, but you had too walk across the road for them, and for me is the sadest, when the bill moon sold out to the the ta center's, now just a gloryfeid ta center :biggrin_25510: it used too be you go in there , that guy had everything , if you wanted a trailer light for a vintage great dane he had it, now you have too order it, i rember the old trucker novaltiys like i have a girl in hot pant and tyed shirt that holds your drink or can of soda and stits on your dash , i bought that when bill moon was still alive or how about those twin tv antennae mount that never worked , or them yellow speed bumps in the parking lot and you bought a kit with cables and a phone ,so you could have internet -phone -tv in cab , i still have mine in storage along with the card you had too buy that was a good joke :biggrin_2559: and i started with crst with a cabover eagle i love that truck, now i drive a volvo 670 which is a too me is like driving a cabover but its not, but it has sleeper very small, so too me its like a cabover with a sleeper, my int eagle bus was three bigger inside then this volva and that was a cabover.

I remember... Getting fuel, going in and calling the company for a ComChek, and spending a hour waiting for the company to give me the number and waiting in line to pay for the fuel.. and the ComChek having the wrong number's.. I was P/off.. lol.. Spent another hour, waiting for a phone and standing in line.. Boy how the Times have changed..

We are still out here, albeit few and far in between, but we live on. It helps to shut the cb off...seems like there's nothing but name calling and/or illicit...er, "sales" happening on the radio these days.
