LMB, I thought that you were supposed to have started orientation by now. Everything ok? I was thinking of going there as well, but I am not sure if it would be the right fit for me. I dislike that when ever I have had a question, I am never able to get ahold of my recruiter and it takes him close to a week to return my call. I worry about what it would be like if I were to have an issue or concern while out on the road. How long would it take to get any sort of answer.... Anyways, I was just approved to go back to Landstar and I really enjoyed my time at Landstar, so I am excited. I wish you the best in what direction that life takes you. Safe travels.

I've been with Sunco for about 6 months. Of course every company has it's positive and negative things about it. This is one of those companies that can usually get you good miles but pay like crap. They can get you home very often but treat you like dirt. I would not recommend this company to anyone wanting to make a living. If this is a hobby for you then have at it and enjoy the ride.

Treat you like dirt.....what are you saying?......If you ask to go home, they don't like it and therefore treat you like dirt ?

don't listen to one driver. They have treated me good.

I leased on to Sunco carriers for a year (2011-2012) and nearly went broke. Their refrigerated freight is cheap, as low as 50 cents per mile, and the reefer fuel is on you. I was averaging only 1100 miles per week, and my take home pay was as little as $200. You will have to dead head a lot at your expense, wait hours to load or unload at grocery warehouses and then wait on dispatch to find you the next load.
Not sure what you are looking for in trucking, but I would not recommend Sunco for an owner operator. -
Maybe cause you are afraid to talk back cause they treat drivers like s....t

Their lease has changed to mileage .90 empty 1.00 and up +fsc loaded. They pay reefer fuel not a bad place to work. As long as you're getting enough miles. They also have company trucks now.
