But but but but...the other noisy rigs are prettier than mine
. And I don't want my truck to feel bad
. I do my best to stay away from the ones that don't idle but sometimes it's impossible too. Seems like most of the places I stop at don't have many people idling so like I said find a spot way away from everybody else park and start a row for noisy rigs.

This type of commetary/attitude seems to ALWAYS come from the old skool guys. Times are a changing so keep up old man. Surely you understand and take responsibility that the reason we are being regulated to death is due to the actions and history of some of you trucking veterans? BTW - you me me me drivers need to pull the "ear plug ideas" out of your lower bowels...If that keeps up I'm gonna hound my senator into supporting a regulation stating that all men w/ "man boobs" gotta wear a bra!!! Sounds absurd , don't it?

Why should it be the reefer drivers responsibility to find another parking spot? Fortunately, most new drivers have good positive attitudes & can accept that it's not perfect; at least they are smart enough to listen and learn & weed out the good advice from the bad. There are a few new drivers that think they know everything and drive like they are on the Indy 500, but most are decent hard working guys & gals. You won't hear them on the CB radio running their mouth, telling everyone else how to drive.newlife1966, Tonythetruckerdude and 379exhd Thank this.

I agree with you 50% why should anybody have to find a different parking spot? Hell why don't we all just park in the fricken fuel island for christs sake? sorry but bumpnrun this is getting obsurd. You're calling me a rookie fine. You do have more exp than I do when it comes to driving I'll give you that. But i've been around this industry for over 21 years now. I was in the cab when I was 6 months old and I'll tell you what the old timers have more fricken respect for other drivers than 3/4 of the #### noobs out there. I was trained by a 33 year vet. why do you think I try my best to park away from others when I idle. but it don't matter a reefer driver shouldn't have to cater to somebody else when it's time to go to bed. Sorry but if you don't like it find a new profession because it ain't going to change. And it's not the vets that cause the new laws it's the rookies that go through a 160 hour trucking school get on with a mega and then go out and screw things up.Chinatown, rocknroll81, Tonythetruckerdude and 1 other person Thank this.

I keep my windows up, I have an APU. I don't hear much of anything, but its true, it's a truckstop. Trucks are going to idle, reefers are going to run and hoods are going to be run over. Lol
Tonythetruckerdude Thanks this. -
Look, I'm thinking everyone deserves a decent nights sleep. I don't think that it's asking too much to request you park elsewhere in an empty lot. Keep in mind I'm 10 rows back, not bothering a soul and thinl it would be OBVIOUS that I'm seeking serenity. PARK IN THE OTHER 9 ROWS THAT ARE EMPTY!!!
peterd Thanks this. -
Get the waxy ones. They mold to the ear shape. Texture is like hard, used chewing gum ... lol. But I hear ya' on the getting old. These days I get by on about five hours sleep although I'd rather not. For some reason the older I get the less I sleep. -
..............so that's why you see so many Prime trucks out in the fields !!
DrtyDiesel and aiwiron Thank this. -
