Heck the entire truck stop parking lot is a hazmat disaster zone ! What about a hazmat washroom area for the guys that can't seem to get it in the toilet !

Well truth b known I have but it has been years! As I recall they were typically marked "safe haven"and were usually in the dirt behind the lot--and most of the ones I can remember r long since closed--fact the last one I can member was @rip offs in Barstow---looooong b4 it became a T/A

Just some quick FACTS...Idling diesel engines produce 96/98 decibels on average and the reefers well in excess of those dB. It doesn't help that diesel's tend to produce low frequency sound - making it difficult to muffle. Lack of maintenance only increases these numbers. Exposure to constant noise @ 80-85dB causes hearing loss and anything >50 affects sleep. I think the drivers requesting quiet have a valid point. But courtesy and common sense could certainly go a long way in solving this dilemma.

I think drivers complaining about the noise should start a collection to pay for a quiet section.
