I just thought maybe it would give you something to do for a few hours tomorrow if you wanted to get out of the room and do some exploring.

    A MOST curious Friday...

7 delivery tickets. Started out dispatched to take 8594# and 263# to Air France. I did not know it at the time but the 263 was Hazmat. So anyhow they cancelled the 263 and I got a 137# to British Air to replace it. Had a Qatar at 149# to get me up to lunch time.

Drove into SDV a smidgen after 1pm. First box hit trailer 2:45. Last box (the 263# Hazmat) hit the trailer at 3:47 (had a 3pm cutoff - but I know the guys at Air France and knew I could get it off). That along with 502# to British, 745# and 4218# to Air France.

As I was waiting to get the paperwork done at British Air dispatch called. Said he had a pretty good one for tomorrow. I didn't really want it but asked what it was. 11am pickup at SDV going to Cargolux. 3500# No Hazmat. I declined as best I could and did some checking of my records. Would have payed $55 on the low side and perhaps $60. I would use $20-$30 in diesel and it would have wasted the fat part of the day. I'm VERY glad he found someone else to do it!

Was MOST surprised when I did not get sent back to SDV after dropping British Air.

Rolled in 19:35. Sammich, chips, Two and a Half Men and here I are.

I thought I would have to check with Walmart tomorrow and ask for store loads cause my dsp was swamped with work and wasn't going to be able to find me a load till Monday... :biggrin_2557: But no, no, no... At the last minute this afternoon he got me a CH Robinson load, had to leave in a flash to get an mpt trailer at Walmart and rush to shipper only 15 mins from there. With an elog and my 14 ending quickly, I had to pressure broker and shipper to hurry up since shipper had to close in the evening and wouldn't open on Sat. With 27 mins left, I rushed to nearest truck stop, only 5 mins away and here I am.

Vinton, LA at the Discount Tobacco and Casino. :biggrin_25523:

I sure like driving on the weekends and not dealing with chock full parking lots. Hopefully it will be as nice tomorrow as today. Time to crawl under the trailer and check the brakes.
