There was an Accident on I 40 this morning.
EB near MM 200.5.
It was in the Construction Area where both sides are on the WB Side
Just before the Bridge if you are going WB.
Only thing I have been able to find so far.

(edit found this)
I was going WB, must have gotten there not too long after it happened. No Police or EMS was on Scene at the time. I believe the Construction Workers were helping out until Police/EMS got there.
They stopped WB Traffic, due to a PU Truck that was hanging over the Concrete Barriers.
I was only 10 Vehicles back or so, from where they stopped traffic.
They let us get by after a bit, and you could see people trapped in their vehicles...pretty scary not sure if I'll ever be able to forget that.

Arkansas drags their feet fixing anything that needs fixed. Useless state if you ask me.
-
That's never good! FYI Arkansas publishes all fatal wreck summaries usually within 24 hours after the crash.

I hope we don't see that wreck on there. -

I want to know why he stopped on the Interstate, single lane right after a bridge. -
Metal debri on hwy was the official report. I came through Monday and I hate that section. Some guy behind us was cussing a driver ahead for doing 55, telling him he was stupid, the limit was 60, like it would make him late for the bar.
-
seems like just about every week theres a crash in that work zone.
Don't people read the sings 40 miles out, informing them of construction 40 miles ahead, as well as not reading the signs saying which lane is closed.
Oh wait, this is R Kansas we are talking about,,,, (hearing banjo music.)

Happens in every work zone in the country. People don't give a flying frick any longer about anything but themselves. Had a Crete driver right ON my tail yesterday going through a work zone here in SC. I was tempted to call him in (for those who don't know, I also drive for Crete).
Sorry...but I'm not speeding through a work zone for you, me, or anyone else. The speed limit is just that....a limit, not a requirement.jxu417 and thecleaninglady Thank this.
