Elogs in july? I haven't heard anything what about yall? Maybe only for new drivers coming in similar to what landstar has going on.

 

He is not with Mercer, I think he is with CRST or something. Mercer from what I heard is asking for ginny pigs in orientation classes to run on elogs. I don't see it becoming something mandatory here until the feds put it into law for everyone.

 

Sorry for any confusion. The truck I mentioned is with Besl Transfer but they are making a push to run E-logs in July so I will be leaving them after the few years I have pulled for them. I put another truck on with Malone but that sure didn't work out as planned so now thinking of starting my authority as I can pull for the same customers directly. This Mercer thread is very interesting since at one time I thought about putting my trucks on back in 2008. Again sorry for any confusion.

 

It's good because you see it from two points of view's

I look at it from every angle, People say all the time how hard it is to be a owner operator with your own authority. I think it's easier than people think, it's not a big issue to me at all. I get excited when I get inspected because I seem to always drive off with no warnings or tickets, I fell I'm doing my job better than the DOT is it's there job to find stuff wrong it's my job to make sure they don't find any problems!
