Yep, Mark was pretty good. Both the Stephs are really helpful too. Just wish when I took my truck ther for repairs it would actually get fixed. Last time in they had it 4 days in the shop. Took a load to Winchester, Pa from there but had to relay the load in Breezewood and Bobtail to the dealer in Altoona. Even bobtail we had to climb hills in 4th gear.
Company had to rent us a car (nice new charger) and we drove to S. Holland to get another truck. Dealer said 5 recalls were missed on that truck and the repairs that Vandalia did had to be redone. This time correctly. -
Speaking about repairs my truck gets 5.7 MPG at 60 MPH. But they. Say there's nothing wrong

Ther could be a mechanical problem, but are you shifting at a good rpm? Tires inflated correctly? Low idle times? Fast takeoffs and quick stops?
Where are you getting the 5.7 number from? The number on the qcomm isn't accurate. The most accurate way is to divide the number of miles driven by the number of gals of fuel purchased. I keep a log. Without a student I get 7.3 with I get 6.4. There are a lot of factors to consider. Even the weather affects your fuel economy.Last edited: Mar 26, 2013

I do the same each month. The QC can give you a good rolling estimate for instant MPG but I learned a long time ago not to rely on it for average over a period of time.
