Must I really go to work today All I really want is a 4 day weekend. Gads, March 31, 2014 seems such a long way away before I get any vacation. My 5 flex days are going fast with Dr appointments. You'd think someone who doesn't use up half their vacation time would borrow me a couple days.

Oh, well.............out the door I go. Keep it safe, y'all.

 

OH. An addendum to yesterday.

I got sent to Expeditors. I have bin told horror stories about that place, I have seen trucks lined up for blocks. I got in there PRETTY easy. Then I find they wat to get my fingerprint and picture, THEN I find out at that location they want take any HAZ except Class 9.

Anyhow while in there I had taken my book prepared to wait. I left it there. And I feel SO strongly against that place I will NOT be trying to retrieve it!

Folks, you all make my heart smile... with your kind and encouraging words... I really appreciate that and wish I could hug you all in person... I would make some comments if I were not so tired after driving for almost 11 hrs... Started at 2 am today, was loaded in MN this morning, now at a truck stop in IA. Got a great spot, right in front of exit...


Took a shower, had my warm meal and now I am about to collapse... Planning on start driving at 00:30 tonight to take advantage of the empty roads... Sent msg to my dsp asking him to find me something for tomorrow, if possible, leaving the same WM CP where I am going to drop this one... That would be awesome!! But we shall see. A HUGE HUGE WARM HUG TO YOU ALL!!!

Today left much to be desired. It was mighty easy to drop that HAZMAT this morning. But then two runs to the Airport from SDV for the rest of the day. First one had 4pc that would not fit on the truck so I had to hook trailer. That load and an 8# carton finished the morning.

After lunch I arrived SDV for two crates totaling 18#, and one crate at 120#. Told dispatch I had no intention of leaving SDV before 4:30. Waited and got 4pc at 11# over minimum and 1 more crate at 124#.

Made a LITTLE bit over what fuel cost me for the day.

Have a morning assignment. Be near Beltway 8 and I-10 West by about 8:30 for a 6# carton. The place it is often changes things so I might actually get a pallet or something. Take that to SDV and pickup a 9# Hazmat for Air France.
