I'm sure you got the message. Because they are trying to staff nights and weekends better they are making adjustments to they fleets.
Without naming your fleet or travel agent (FM) what have you heard? My TA is working split shifts now and is sharing the fleet with someone. Both will have equal responsibility and are supposed to have similar game plans. They will now be available ltr in the evening and weekends.
I think that should resolve some of the night weekend problems.

I was warned they are trying to move me to another fleet. I know who to but can't say. Needless to say me and my fm are not happy and fighting it. Only got one thing saving me right now and that's I'm on elogs. But they are training more FMs on it. I dontbhave an issue with any other FMs. But I like my current one and she likes me. We work well together and understand each other. I'm not big on unneccassary change. They have tried twice so I know ill probsbly get a surprise when I get back from vacation. They always try when I'm at home.
Sent from somewhere out there -
I used to work with people that pulled split shifts. It wasn't in the trucking industry. But they are still inside. They weren't very happy people. Big turnover. I wouldn't do it.
It's twice the fuel to go to work. You have to basically do everything twice. It's not really a money saver. Only certain people would do it. You have to live real close to the terminal and such. I don't think that will last long. -
I haven't heard anything but I guess it wouldn't matter much since I've already had 5 FM's since December including a short period without one.

I guess I was one of the "unlucky" ones. I was moved.
My frustration level is at an all time high with USA as well. It was bad enough before getting someone to answer the phone, now it's even worse! Apparently no one up there can pull their heads out of their ##### long enough to make a decision.
My truck has been down going on 5 days now. Was told they were looking for me a new truck.....well that was Monday, today is Wednesday.
Today I was literally left on the street while waiting on hold for over an hour waiting for someone to make the decision to re-new my motel for the night. So I asked the million dollar question....did you find another truck yet? The answer: "Oh I still have to get with the Equipment Guy" WTH?!? It's been 3 days! Now I'm being told that my truck won't be fixed until next week. ARRRR, just put me back on my old fleet, at least then something got done. -
I broke down and stayed in the Holiday Inn for 3 days and then got sent a 1000 miles in a rental car pickup a new truck. I didnt ask or pressure anybody since I wad getting breakdown pay anyway. As far as the hotel goes all you need to do is call breakdown and tell them to fax another corporate lodging sheet to the hotel.

I call and I get "you need your fleet manager to approve it first" so I wait another hour on hold waiting for fleet manager, to get ok, then get to wait on hold again to get the info faxed. It's not that I mind being in the motel (although I'd much rather be on the road), it's the fact that I get told every day "We're working on it and will call you right back" only to NOT get a return phone call. My biggest beef is just trying to get an answer. It's very frustrating when you've sat on hold for an hour and get hung up on and have to start all over again, or wait for an hour and then get "oh wait, I'll have to transfer you" so then we start the process all over again. No lie I started at 9 A.M. (Central) today trying to get ahold of someone, and finally got someone at 2 P.M. (Central). I understand they have other things to do, but it's just very frustrating.

The few times I have been put up in a motel it was definitely a very painful process having to check out everyday then wait for bd to approve the room for another day
