How do you pronounce Roehl?

    it is pronounced rail BUT people can and do pronounce it like they want to

    Never said it wasn't pronounced Rail.

    But it has nothing to do with the German spelling of Rail.

    I've always called it Roll but later found out it was Rail but....

    It's rail, though its not German for rail, it is a German name

    Yep, and I'm fairly sure "Roehl" is the english-language adaptation of how it would be written in German. The "oe" would be written as the letter "o" with the two dots above it (umlaut): Röhl.
