This Road Does Nothin' Fer Me Except #### Me Off

If you hit the George Washington Bridge heading onto the Cross Bronx Expressway at the wrong time, that is a living hell, too.

 

The best time to hit the GW is at around midnight. My dad used to do it coming out of NYC when I was on a truck with him before I started driving. Then I got to see what it's like in the daytime my first month solo. I take the go around on 287 now, avoid that crap. They got a sign at the Vince Lombardi Service Plaza in NJ saying they are doing construction on the Cross Bronx right now for the next four months, so it's going to be worse than it already is

 

I agree. South of Indy on 70 going into Illinois is just as bad and then you hit another nightmare. . Effingham!

 

I hate any part of I-85.

Air ride front axles are a big plus on those roads. ill never go back to springs on the front

 

I second this. From the GW bridge all the way to CT. This streatch of road has been torn up and under construction for at least the last 4 years and you never see anybody out working on it. Also, I40 anywhere Arkansas is always good for a game of "Pothole Derby".
