Thank you Mr. Computer and Mr. Internet that allow them to check on us when we hit the border.

Personally I love running Canada (in the summer!). But I'm over in Alberta, usually crossing at Kingsgate BC. My longest wait to date is 28 minutes to cross! Just proves YMMV.

I did it a few times (Prairie Provinces only). Go up heavy come back heavier. Fuel cost $1.19 a litre last time in SK, that's about $4.50 a gallon USD. It was cool the first time crossing Kingsgate and climbing up and over the Canadian Rockies on that 2 way lane road, but after that it seems like an awful lot of work compared to the big twinned super slabs, hammered down cruise control.

The first night I spent up there in Alberta, thunder and lightening so loud and bright I thought the whole planet was going to split wide open. It's also very cool to see the bighorn sheep, elk and mooses munching on the grasses next to all the highways. That Frank's Slide is a very cool stop along there as well, I read about it a little bit, evidently that mountain broke off late one night and buried the town, in millions of tons of rock, next morning a group of people set off east to try to stop the train from crashing and some women found a 2 year old toddler amongst the rubble sitting on top of a rock unharmed.

Running into Canada is the only way I make any money.

With stop pay, tarp pay, border pay and mileage, a multi-drop load of Alexandria Moulding out of Moxee, WA finaling in Grande Prairie, AB pays me a tidy sum.

The only down side is hauling back bales of scrap metal.

No. I think all drivers should refuse to go there.

Let me know the next time you come up 95 and I'll wave if I'm not in Canada too.

What does the border crossing all entail? I have never gone across in a truck before. I know the paperwork has to be submitted electronically before you get there. I would be going up to B.C. from the Tacoma, WA. area. Thanks for the information.
