Knight is a huge step up from USA. Hell.... we got dry van, refridgerated, and intermodal. USA is garbage from what I hear from a lot of your co workers.

And your daddy company swift has them all and flatbed too, but they are garbage. I am on my second trip with USA. The sucked so bad I came back
-
Isn't knight just a crapier version of swift owned by the daighter of the swift owner? Lol if *big if* this was to happen I'd bet over half of the one year + drivers would.leave. I know I would. Knight has offered me a job twice. I said no both times and never even thought twice about it. Good luck troll

And most of the ones complaining have the communication and people skills of Pol Pot. Actually speaking to people with some intelligence and normal English can get most of your problems fixed. Calling up and yelling and cussing because things don't go your way is not the key to resolve. Some places are just not the right fit for everyone. Take any company on this site and I will bet my left nut that there are drivers that love the place and ones that despise the place. You obviously like Knight. I know people who went to work there and hated all the bs. An being I don't talk just to talk, I will give an example. At USA, no trucks are assigned to any terminal. I can get my truck worked on anywhere. At knight, one terminal doesn't like working on trucks from another terminal. Really???? Are we that petty???? So you like it there, but don't come here and try to tell us how wonderful it would be to work for red swift. Go post in your own forum.
IF it happens I will make sure to bow at the feet of the great oracle!!! LOLWeeman7898 and Thomas0810 Thank this. -
Knight used to work for Swift, but broke off, and started their own company. I've been with Knight for 9 years straight. It depends on your terminal which I am out of Atlanta, and it depends on the individual. If they want to work or not. There's a bunch of crying grown ### babies in this trucking industry as you should know. But don't shoot the messenger. I'm just telling you what I heard Friday. So stop whinning, and wait , and see if it plays out. I really don't cuss because we are not the ones in serious debt, and we are doing fine with 4,000 trucks. I don't think that they should buy a company with a lot of debt because it could hurt in the end. Just let USA fold.

Noone is whining, we are just telling you to go play in your own forum.
-
And you just proved what I heard that there are terminal feuds
-
Well let's see... I read it on the internet so its got to be true... oh wait, I heard it from a trucker
And they never make things up...
I'm so glad trucks and the internet wasn't around in Christopher Columbus' day because we would all be driving off the side of this flat planet.
And you say we will like it there? Why would you think that. Don't you think we would be there already if we didn't like it here? Knight will hire anybody that can hold a steering wheel and is willing to drive team. That's why they are one of the sorry companies that are pusing Elog to their elected officials. Crying it ain't fair..
Knight would be one of the last places I would work.
If and when USA decides it will combine with somebody, I'm sure you won't be the first to know.RetiredSarge and Weeman7898 Thank this. -
Amen!!!! Hallelujah!!!!! And right on brother!!!!!J_FROG and Weeman7898 Thank this. -
These truck companies have such a large cash flow they can run broke for years before collapsing. I think that is what happened to USA and someone saw it and got a new boss man to figure it out.
Personally, I find it difficult to grasp the revolving turnstile of employees leaving - new and old. I have received two phone calls from a department no one speaks of - "Employee Retention". Two interviews. USA recognizes the problem but is poor at adjusting. There are so many things needing improvement they may never grasp the end reality of it all. As long as they are willing to feed CDL mills money hand over fist, they can keep running a marginal success company. Maybe that is all of the larger company plans. But at some point, the potential pool of drivers will be reduced to zero. Then what? We Are Listening and Really Mean It Department?
