I've been here for almost a year and a half now. My first month here I wanted to quit but all in all I have to say this company really isn't bad. I get home every other week and still average 2500 miles a week. I have a decent truck that has low miles and I have a great dm that calls me everyday just to see if I need anything. So for everyone who complains about this company if you really just give them a try you might like it here. I said I was going to do my contract and move on but honestly everything is good so why fix something that isn't broke. Just wanted to put my opinion of usa. If anyone wants to knowanymore about usa let me know. Also really thinking about coming a trainer. Can someone let me know if its a good idea? Also I completed my year a couple months ago. Should I have got something from driver solutions?

Well orientation last 3 days then you will go with a trainer for 4 weeks or however long it takes to get 150 driving hours. Then you will take a roadtest and go solo. You will probably start in an automatic truck which isn't bad. You will probably do 6 months in it then get a 10 speed. I think the pay now starts at .28 cpm which isn't bad cause they will run you really hard at first so you will make some good money. As long as you get a good driver manager you will like this company. If you don't like it then at least give them a year and then go about anywhere you want. This is a great starter company but they will take care of experience driver to as long as you do your job and be on time.

Usa truck has its problems as with any job but after you here 6 months it gets easy by then you should have a permanant dispatcher and as far as a trainer id put in a bit more time 1 yyear you still a new driver youre self but every body is difrent i think jfrog can give better insight on that i tryed training and i did not like it

Yes call them and ask them what your status is with them. You might actually get some of your money back that you have paid them.

I've been here almost a year and a half and been asked a few times to become a trainer. I just didn't know if it would be a good idea or not. I kinda like my own space and my own truck but I would like to help out other drivers that are trying to get in the industry.

Yeah I seen other drivers saying they got money back but I never seen anything from them or got a call from them so I didn't know if it was the plan you picked that gave money back or what.

Funny about the "great miles" you mention. Believe me some other driver is getting a 13 mile load in LA.
Dispatcher says "I got no one else to move this trailer".

I've had to do local in laredo before. I was paid 1 mile empty and 1 mile loaded. I've had my share of little loads but also after I've helped them out they also gave me big loads like laredo to michigan or new york to oregon.
