... for your most excellent Rest Areas on your Turnpike. You provide spacious, clean, and free separate shower rooms for drivers only, which includes a toilet and sink. Not to mention the tons of angled parking you provide in your gigantic overnight lots... oh, and lets not forget your TV rooms and laundry facilities... all dedicated for the drivers. You've even found a unique way to provide a TV remote without having it "walk away".

To say that you are a gift, a real gem, standing out amongst this basically unappreciative industry, is an understatement. Kudos to you, State of Ohio, for being a class act. Thank you! :biggrin_25514:

I agree. The Ohio Toll Road's service plazas are very welcome. Free showers, lots of parking, clean huge bathrooms, plenty of food choices and always a restaurant open 24 hours. So much better than a scumbag TA. Lol. Indiana is supposed to be updating theirs to Ohio standards but it hasn't happened yet. They are the scummiest places I've seen.

Sometimes in the south you're lucky if they've been cleaned in the last month......

True about the southern RA's, but at least they're usually available for parking because they have a decent amount of spots. Unlike many of the RA's in Virginia (which is not really southern any more LOL). I also like the way South Carolina makes drivers feel special with their "Truck Only" Rest Areas. Yeah, they may be only a pullover with no facilities, but at least we don't have to deal with the four wheelers...

Must concur with my colleagues, Ohio is the best of them. I especially like the fact that in addition to the usual fast food crap that you usually find at service plaza's (& Pilot for that matter); they also include a more upscale place. My favorite is Panera's for the soup & sandwich. A little pricey....of course it's not perfect.....but I do appreciate the choice. And the shower of course.....THAT blew my mid the first time.
