So this is a question I have about home time . What do you do with the truck , I can squeeze a truck in my driveway , but a trailer is not an option . Does central allow you to even take the truck home ? I don't know of any terminals that are even close to my house , there is a swift lot about 40 miles away , but I may have a little problem with leaving the only car I have witch is a 96 Mustang GT 1 of only 829 that color ever made sit in a city like Harrisburg PA #### that ... lol ( especially for 3 weeks )
where to park ?

Ask your company on their bobtail policy. I doubt they would allow you home under load, but a lot will let you take their/your rig home.
Just remember, it says "Central" on the side of the truck, not "TangerineGT" . . . hee hee.tangerineGT Thanks this. -
I personally think it's wise to get a jump on coordinating where you're going to park everything. I have to drop my trailer,( usually at Mayflower agent) then I have to bobtail to my storage unit to pick up my vehicle and leave truck. It's a pain, but unless you live in an area without an H.O.A no subdivision will allow "truck parking". So a little work is involved to just get home.

If you're only 40 miles from Harrisburg, you have a huge amount of places to park your rig, both paid or free. If you had your location I could help you better.tangerineGT Thanks this.

I am a new driver and I just asked my DM where to park the truck. He had a list of safe places to park that is approved by the company.

Your company will have a list. Some companies have deals with Home Depot, Lowes, and etc.... The biggest thing is to stay out of the way and get a king pin lock for the trailer.

I live right below York PA , and I am luckily righ on the outside of a subdivision . No H.O.A.
There is a few stores and things around here I could maybe park at or something . Ill just have to pick on close and ask permision first . There is a parking lot right on the other side of my street that was for sale for years , another guy parked his truck there for a while then it finally sold . Now they are parking Nazi's. Lol
Thanks for the input guys ... -
Is the Truckstop on I83 right by the scales no longer open? Drop your trailer there and bobtail home or have a friend pick you up. When I lived on top of Reesers Summit in New Cumberland, I paid to park right down the hill at the Trailer shop, but I was home every other day or so.
