We drive that speed on roads like that all the time. The road itself is pretty bare and visibility isn't too bad. I don't think 50 mph was excessive at all.

 

Well somebody has to say it, might as well be me - unless you have that camera zoomed to bring in the truck closer than it appears, you are WAY too close to that truck in front of you!! Especially in those conditions!!

I always wonder about people who comment about driving in the snow - if they've ever done it. A lot of people are terrified of driving in winter conditions.

 

Well of course it doesn't look too close to you Canucks. Safer than hockey right? Down here in TX it is scary any time the roads get the least bit slick. Half of the people panic and the other half drive faster than normal. I have only one rule on ice and snow in TX-keep away from everyone else. I'd rather run 60 alone than 20 in a crowd like we have here. One of them is always going to slide a little, lock up the brakes and take as many others along for the ride as is humanly possible.
