This is where I slip in in the dead of night with my good friend Oi! and do the most damage while all the other truckers are fast asleep. Muahahahahaaaa!

Well, we've certainly been right through it all on this thread, haven't we!

Well, moving FORWARD, my advice is . . .1) lesson well learned on CRE and leasing a truck. 2) Lots of research on other companies can be done right here 3) USX isn't necessarily the best or that much better of a choice.

And 4) - If your husband has a decent MVR and no drug/felonies, blah-de-blah, then it shouldn't be too much of a problem signing on at a decent carrier.

As a side note, I spoke to a despatcher at CRE who used to work with our company. She said she had gone from a company that paid its drivers well, but not it's despatchers - to a company that really looked after the office personnel and dumped big doody on the drivers.

Last I heard USX teams split .48cpm, decent 68mph trucks, with some coast to coast loads your husband should be clearing $1k/week easy after Uncle Sam's hairy hands are through with the check. Then go home on the third week and have a crappy paycheck for that week. At the end of the year it should be around $50k. It's not awesome but compared to CRE even working at McDonald's sounds great. At least you are home everynight and you get free food.

Also: once you get your husband back, tell him he needs to do some thorough research before he signs his life away to this devilish pricks. There's no reason why someone would end up at England, no reason at all. There's enough info out there to make an educated choice.

Ok folks, if your post was deleted and the comment says "member no longer allowed to participate in this thread" then stay out, it's that easy. Understand that we are all human and as such we make mistakes. I think the OP and her husband have realized what they have gotten themselves into, there is no need for insults, it does nothing more than incite anger, and the staff will respond to these posts appropriately.

"You hit it on the nail". This company has caused many family separations as well as friction in the family unit. For all of you new truckers I would advise looking deep into this company and don't take it at face value. I am a father of five with my eldest being in college and working for CR England has only proved futile. If you are already embedded in the company, gain your experience then move on... Listen to the post that this young lady has explained, she has brought out valid points. Take care of you because they won't.-TruckeeRiver

What a pleasantly surprising turn of events, TTR. Thanks. Many thanks, in fact. I would especially like to hear more from Dewey120, whether he bought his truck through CRE or brought it to CRE. Sounds to me like he's the fish that wriggled off the CRE hook and got away.

The mods seem more involved since the hack recently. And it's good. Would that I had been a fly on the wall overhearing the mod discussion about what to do about this thread. Nicely done.

/Just noticed page 6, msg #53, Dewey120 explains how he got into the lease with CRE, still has the truck and leased to Landstar. Very cool. I'd like to hear more about this.

Maybe he could start a thread on it, he could call it "How I beat CRE at their own game"

I will say its BS for the ones in this thread to say USX isn't any better thrn CRE.. USX as a team, your husband would have a whole new career, not a truck lease from CRE. USX is head and shoulders above CRE.

I've never heard about the USX lease program our entire time at USX from the company. Only from drivers who signed up for it.

US Xpress is Def head and shoulders above.
