I think under the circumstances no lawyer will take this case.Start looking for another job and hope for the best.

i wasn't interest in a lawsuit i wouldn't get any $$$ anyway since they're owe around $200,000 to the IRS

You are correct, SRSD.
Iowa is an "At Will" (AW) state, which is quite different than Right To Work (RTW).
I did respond to the other poster, using the same (mistaken) RTW term as he used. I knew RTW didn't "feel" right when I typed it in response.
BTW, I never claimed to be anything close to a "lawyer", as my post #8 states. In fact, even criticized those who tried to act as one.
But thanks for the legal terminology correction, for the applicable posts. -
Best post I've read this morning, I can't stop laughing enough to type this out, I have seen the commercials on TV of this guy..... good post...
-
Probably not the best crowd to be working for anyway - good luck with another job.

Nothing. If you were fired in an at will state, they can fire you if they don't like the way your hair is combed. Go find a better job.
-
Based on what you shared, the employer has right to fire you, but you would still qualify for unemployment in my state.
But every state is different. -
Isn't that the most interesting man in the world?

How about details for the type of truck you were to be driving??? Did the truck have a sleeper or was it a day cab? If it was a day cab, would the company be providing a hotel each night? Would they also be providing funds for meals?
