Just finished my 8 days on. Got 2 days off starting tomorrow. Still getting 8 loads a day done. It was all going good until yesterday when I put my truck in the ditch. The temperature warmed up above freezing then dropped quick again making the lease roads very slick. I misjudged the width of the road and dropped my left steer tire off the edge, combined with the slick conditions I ended up in the ditch. Wasn't a big deal really, just waited for a tractor to come pull me out and off I went on my merry way!

Actually...your best "option" would be to pull into that Walmart we discussed, drop the trailer and bobtail into the receiver to check out the area and know what you will be getting into. Of course, go inside Walmart and explain your situation before dropping....they should be good with it under the circumstances!

Sorry I didn't answer when you called...I was dreaming! Fog all the way from Corning to Aurora, Or....and it will be fog all the way up to Auburn, WA to boot!

Good luck, Rocks. I hope you don't have too big of issues getting unloaded at the silly receiver.

KW9, glad to see you made it out safe.

Otter, be careful in that fog. I detest driving in fog more than I do snow.

I've had a driver call me twice this week to tell me he was stuck in the snow and ask me what he should do :biggrin_2554: :biggrin_25521:

Y'all have a safe and profitable day. ~Hugs~

Dad was home when I got here last night. He looks like he has been beaten about the face and body. He is still sort of groggy and can't remember going outside. He "woke up" in the Life Flight heli. He'll be alright. At least 50% as good as an 80 year old can be.
