Worst Travel Plaza

I think the Pilots, at least most of them, are the worst design out there. Some are just ridiculous, I have said many times that I would love to meet their design team. I would tell them they are idiots. Cant even design a bathroom right for crying out loud.

 

My favorite is the Manuelito rest area on I40 in NM on the east bound side.

About a month after they opened it, they closed it down and repainted all the lines when they discovered that it was a cluster duck the way they had it set up.

 

You dont like walking into a pilot , making three lefts two rights.two aisles, slip pass coffe bar ...navigate the subway line...just to use the restroom?


When else are you going to get your walk in?

 

for real, your favorite travel plaza is a rest area? and I wonder if the original poster is referring to the plazas that are actually on the west Virginia turnpike where 64 runs with i77 to Charleston????

 

Agree with OP.........I think Blimpie subs on the 1st one going north and KFC and BK in the 2nd one? They should have more parking in the 2nd one(MM74) They have too much on the 1st one. Although I know it doubles as a weigh station.....

 

I stopped once and couldn't find parking. So I kept moving.

 

I have never found a parking place in the past, so, I have no idea what they are like.

 

Can't be worse than the ones in Oklahoma!
