I'm thinking ya'll are right, he just needs to stay put and ride it out. As AWFUL and RIDICULOUS as it is. It is his decision in the end ! Thanks for the input! He probably needs to get away from any USX owned !!!

Got to a point where I was completely fed up again. Made some calls and decided maybe the issues were with my DM. He's a great guy, but I had to find a solution. Our first full 7 days with our new driver manager and we have done a hair over 6,000 miles which is the best we have done here by a landslide. Hopefully things continue like this.

At home today. IP dedicated is boring, but predictable for miles and hometime. I got a call the other day from the CEO asking if I was interested in a new dedicated gig out of the Tulsa area needing tanker & HM, but my wife & I still plan to move to a 48st or western-oriented OTR home this June.

We were called last week about that account. Said they wouldn't reimburse endorsement costs so we passed on it.

Did y'all see the "feel asleep at the wheel" wreck? It's at GP , bit they posted pics on the bulletin board, so I'm guessing they may have posted it in Jax as well.... -
Havent sern it. Our last trip to GP was horrendous so I try to avoid that place. We usually just hang down the road in Irving at USX if we get stuck in the DFW area. I haven't been inside JAX terminal in a while. When we are there its just to park for home time or swap loads and then get out of there. We have a Penske truck so we never have to deal with the shop.
-
Which by the way, penske is awesome. We rolled thru penske in Springfield MO yesterday unannounced for wiper issue and 2 steer tires and were out a few hours later. If we need service When we go home all we have to do is drop off it off at Penske 2 miles from terminal, put every issue on the DVIR and when we come from hometime its ready and waiting. Now the Penske thing trickles back to our days at Link before the merger. When they got all these Penske Cascadias they were experimenting with the lease trucks for the maintenance coverage and possibly outsourcing the maint dept.

Penske is awesome! One of the best gigs I ever had was with Penske Logistics at the Mission Foods plant in Pueblo,CO. Never had to log fuel by getting full-service fuel at Penske and maint was quick and done right. I only wish I had one of the Penske Cascadias we have at IP Ama...

I forgot a side detail of my phonecon with Ceo. I asked why detention took so long to "process". He flat told me that Arnold could/would not pay the driver detention hours until they collected from the shipper/receiver. I guess that means a claim through the state dept of labor?

Well.............
my husband started Arnold on Jan 2, and SO FAR, it has been a world of a difference from Total. NO break downs with the exception of the batteries being replaced and that was done within HOURS of him writing it up in JAX. Between 2500-3000 miles weekly. Great customer service in all departments, good dispatchers and no hassels with detention pay, layover pay or advances/expenses. GREAT experience with Arnold so far! I'll update again at the end of next month !
123456 Thanks this.
