Comtrak in Chicago has a third party lease you pickup a truck from a local dealer comtrak pays the finance company out of your settlements first. But I've heard different stories on what happens if you return those trucks some people say the put a voluntary repo on your credit some people say they receipt those trucks meaning someone takes over the remaining payment which is what I did any info

Just wondering.....why did you return the truck and did you have good choices when picking a truck through the lease purchase?

They re-seat the trucks. In Harrisburg, Comtrak (now Hub Group Trucking) sometimes has two or three re-seats sitting in the yard. Other times there will be none for a long time. I know of at least one driver who turned in his truck but has yet to see a ding on his credit. Not sure what the results of turning one in may be but you'd think that since the truck remains on company property till it's re-seated that they are probably stuck paying the payments till someone gets in the truck.
