My first time posting but I have been lurking around here for months trying to learn what I can. My husband and I are recent graduates and will be in orientation next week in Tunnel Hill GA. Afterwards we will be teaming up. Any advice will be GREATLY appreciated. I saw a few posts but they seemed older and I couldn't find any within the last month of so. What type of tests should we be prepared for? From what I read it sounds like it varies by location.

Truckduo is the expert here on usx teams.

When you've had a year with them come over here and really get paid your salt.

Truckduo has done well there, but its attitude and work first, whining last. Good luck.

Yup, no doubt about that. However, anything worth doing is going to take you out of your comfort zone and make you nervous. I bet you do great and look back a year from now and laugh about how nervous you were. Go get 'em man!!!

ODFL - 66cpm, all drop and hook, home weekly.

I think usx will have you on .48, they keep the teams fairly busy, but you'll have a little downtime.

    Welcome to US Xpress Diamond,

The advice I have for you:

    1. Get your hazmat. Rare to haul it but you'll get paid .48 CPM instead of .44 CPM
    2. Get on a dedicated account. Consistent miles, paycheck, less work, easier docks & mostly drop & hook
    3. Try to get a 2014 Cascadia. The companies had issues with the International ProStars.
    4. Stay active on this website. Best tool you'll have to ensure you succeed in your job.

We're a husband & wife team. Check out our thread 'Destination Unknown'. Its full of information.

    Diamond08 Thanks this.

    Welcome and good luck!

When it comes to training be open-minded and flexible. Absorb as much as you can. You and your husband can compare notes.
