Oh yeah, you can. Just wondering is it because you dont want to drive in the winter,? I took an 8 year break (was burnt). Came back though because of the money for 6 1/2 years then took a " vacation" for 15 months. Now Im driving again. Most companies want to see 1 out of the last 2 or 2 out of the last 5 years driving so ( its recommended to drive at least 2 years continuous (before you start taking your breaks. You can get some decent trucking gigs thru some temp trucking services. They wanted either 1 out of the last 2 years driving or 2 years out of the last five driving.Keep all your cdl renewed and your medical card current and " registered" nowadays. And clean driving record and youll be good to go.
