El Niño is the Pacific warming more than normal which causes Cali to get wetter than usual and a decrease in Atlantic hurricanes...win-win.

Just had the pleasure of meeting part of the Poly Posse Team. John was on a 34 hour reset in Las Vegas. He was nice enough to give me the 411 on Poly and answer a whole bunch of questions. He is a nice guy and a real credit to the company.

    Thanks John!

Well just a couple more hours until I will be rolling into the motor city for an early unload in the morning. Got a back haul picking up nearby and returning back to the GP area for a nice turn around. I-55 from West Memphis to the Missouri line is a mess. Lots of construction areas where the road has been shut down and folks are having to detour. Anyone taking that route north or south should do yourself a favor and hit US 61 at exit 63 going south and somewhere around exit 20-23 heading north. It will save you lots of time and head aches. Looks like I am living right and will be able to run in between the storm systems heading up into the area again.

Found a place we can park by the Costco in West Palm Beach. Go east on 45th street and turn left on Congress. Its on the right just past the Martin Luther King traffic light. About 2 miles away and not the best area with no showers. 10 parking spots.

Thing about my last post. They charge 15 bucks for parking. Found that out 4 hours later when someone started knocking on my door. But talked to Pat and parking under I4 once a week is payed for. Weird how that worked out. So if your in the area and need a place to park in the middle of the night this would be the place. Almost all the spots are open. One truck an hour at most comes to fuel.

AND it causes a serious up-swing in the quality of Off-Shore fishing from the San Diego area.. as evidenced by the Blue-fin Tuna, Yellow-fin Tuna ,Dorado and Yellow-Tail last spring/summer/fall...

I'm supposed to be taking a Henderson load out Wednesday. I'm going to try and grab a restart after I deliver. I used to do the free room deal at the Hacienda but may try another place since we got to pay now. I know some of you have tried some of the other Casinos. Any recommendations on a good place to try? Like to stay at least one night. Thanks!

There is truck parking at the Fiesta (exit 61 I think). Rooms should be reasonable although you might have to pay a little more since you will be there on the weekend. Wow just checked the rates for Friday and everything is real expensive, must be a big event in town. The Fiesta is showing 124.00 for Friday or Saturday. The site I use for Vegas is i4vegas.com as it generally will have the best prices available, at least it has been good for me for many years. Have fun.

Hoping to be right behind you heading out there if things go well. My load to Dallas got scrapped so delivering a load to Houston on Thursday morning and requested a transfer out there.

Wild Wild West has CDL rates. Walk to the Strip. Lot"s of patrolled parking. Coin Laundry. Tropicana exit off the I-15 head west. It is kind of a run down place though.

The Orleans farther down westbound Tropicana has plenty of parking around back. It is a nice place. Good restaurants. Free shuttle to the strip every 20 mins.

The RIO has lot"s of parking way in the back. It is off the I-15 exit westbound on Flamingo. Also free shuttle to the strip. It will be expensive to stay there though.

Right next door to that is the Gold Coast. Park in back. ( Enter from Valley View and Viking) Free shuttle to the strip. Reasonable rates. Good food. RIO and Palms right across the street.

Palace Station. Another good place. Park on the south side of the property in the dirt lot. Also free shuttle to the Strip. Good food. Decent rates. Good value on the buffet with players card. I-15 exit Sahara head west.

All these places are close to the i-15.
