Ya right you really think anyone is going to fix that??? My new trailer was ran into a few years back the customer told me if I didn't have such nice things that when stuff like that happens I wouldn't care!!!

If I called my insurance on something like that they would hang up on me!

I had a load of of 6 skidded coils. They were stacked two coils tall and were loaded with a forklift. The receiver wanted to save time and use the crane to lift them off. He wrapped a chain through 2 of them at a time and when he began to lift, the coil shifted and slammed into the deck. The hole is from the first time he did it and then he got a bit smarter and decided to use a rubber strip to pad the trailer. The rubber piece stopped the coil from tearing a hole in the deck but it still dented the crap out of the decking. He unloaded me and gave me the paperwork and sent me on my way. When I got outside to slide the axles I noticed the damage. After talking to the Receiving manager and the unloader, they admitted to doing all the damage and I filed a claim I have to get to a dealer to get a repair quote and then I'll be down for a bit when it's fixed. I'm glad its going to be covered under insurance (the trailers only a month old!) but it's a bummer about the downtime to get it fixed...
I'm in Strafford, MO for the weekend at the TA. If you're rolling through, come by and I'll grab lunch!

The Mercer insurance is very happy to handle any and all our claims. I've turned in a dent in headache rack a receiver hit and got paid on it. I had some trailer damage from milatary overloading the tail and they paid and wrote it down as act of god so no deductable.
I've been very impressed with Mercer claim department. And my trailer isn't one of their great danes. -
if ya leasing a trl from mercer, you have a ins. policy on just the trailer that you pay for , 35 to 40.00 bucks a month,
-
Not just if your leasing a trailer from Mercer, but if your signed on(leased to) Mercer you can have trk and or trailer and all equipment insured including ramps, headache rack, chains binders and more at a quite cheap rate.. I have all this for under $100 a month.

I'm scared to call my insurance on anything it goes up anymore I'm done!!!!

does mercer lease trailers with sliding axles or just fixed? I have looked and know they go into canada, so wondering if they have sliding axles or are the loads going into canada light enough where you can get by with a spread?
