I have never used the split sleeper provision, and really don't know what it entails. But my experience (12 yrs with Shaffer/Crete) is that if it will allow you to do more for them, it is allowed. I have had dispatch ask me to help out on a re-power and suggested using it when I said I would not have hours...but after checking into it back then it did not help. So to answer your question, I believe the software would allow use of any legal provisions.
(BTW - I was just notified that I am the Deland Terminal Driver of the Month for Feb 2014)![]()

I think I used it once before Crete went elog. For those that have an Android phone...there is a log book app in the playstore. It is called Keep Truckin. I have it on my tablet so if I have to split over here with pen and ink...I do it right.briarhopper Thanks this.

Decisions Decisions this morning....I set up a fake home-time that was to be taken next week,(Had No Intentions Of Taken It) So when I mt out this morning, I get an 800 miler Live Off Load over 4 days that deliver near the house. I told em...Maybe I Could Put Home Time On The Back-Burner......Just As I Suspected, that preplan gets cancelled, and I get a 1400 miler over 3 days (470 of it was Bobtail to shipper) JACKPOT...WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER !
Astoh Thanks this. -
If you had to choose between Crete regional at .40 cpm or Shaffer NE regional at .48 cpm which would you go with? My feeling is the lesser pay is better with Crete then the higher pay with Shaffer. Sooo much sitting when I did it before and short length of haul with Shaffer. Thoughts? (both 6/2 fleets).

It is my understanding that Crete does not allow splitting your break.

I sure made up for sitting all day yesterday due to my hours. I picked up in Dundalk, MD where the people were very nice. I called to ask if they would need my trlr to load and she asked where i was going. I told here and she said your trlr is ready and I'm finishing your paperwork now. Saweeeeet! I'll be there in 30 minutes. Blast out of the T/A in Jessup and arrive 28 minutes later. Check in and was told where to drop mt. I swing around the corner and the yard dog is there waiting. I get lined up to back 'er in and stop to open the doors. I didn't even make it to the rear of the trlr and the yard man (no longer a dog) had one already opened one and was getting the other
. He asked where I was going so I told him and he pulled the loaded trlr around front and sealed it up while I was setting the tandems and backing in the hole. Cool, in and out in 27 minutes! I made it all the way to Lenoir City for that free laundry. Plus I called the first stop while doing my 30 and they said come on in Sunday..."we're working" I mean it's Easter so I wasn't expecting anybody to be there. So maybe I get to my second stop (which is two pallets) a day early. The last stop is a drop/hook on the other side of I45 from the Wilmer terminal.

You'll get a lovely simulated oak plaque with a lovely simulated official 'Tonn Ostergard' stamped signature...oh it's lovely...it'll impress your friends and family during those family gatherings or your next Super Bowl party...I think the one I got makes a good place mat to keep the casserole dish from scorching the oak dinner table(simulated oak of course)
