No worries about it rotting iin the fields. The way the state is cutting water to farms its not gonna grow. Parts of the central valley look like its being overun by desert. As for killing babies.. carb is trying to starve everyone including babies so they have no point.

It does not matter where your truck comes from, where it is plated, who is driving it. There are some very thin loopholes for old trucks, or low mileage, I am not sure of these. Pretty well every truck must have this equipment.

I understand the emotion towards CA, but some one needs to serve the area. If we get the fleet that conforms the norms for 3-5 yrs - would you say its a wise decision ? My partner who is the driver is based out of Fresno and drives a peterbilt with DPF - it was purchased used with 400K miles and seems to have not given any maintenance headaches

If you want to serve the area thats fine. I run a reefer in and out of cali. What im saying is no matter how you decide to deal with the equipment you're better off basing the company elsewhere. You can operate inside the state just incorporate outside.

Why on earth would you want to operate in CA when they've got some of the lowest freight rates in the nation. As an O/O I wouldn't dream going into that darn state. Let them starve as far as I'm concerned. They've been on this crazy emission kick for years. It's not just the trucking industry they've targeted. They're after the airline industry too and anything that gives off any kind of fumes. Heck you can't even use a regular spray gun to paint a vehicle without them meddling with the designs of that. They want to eradicate all fossil fuel engines eventually. They should rename CA Utopia because that's the insane goal they want to attain.
Its never gonna happen and with these idiots in the Govt, who knows which way other states are going.
Bottom line, it's all about the almighty buck. Somebody out there is making a killing by conning us into complying while they have a good laugh about these bogus carbon credits,
one more racket that they've created.

What state, not really sure but Texas seems very business friendly, maybe Tennessee. Most any state would be better, LOL. Except maybe Hawaii!
