ATS has cut the line haul rate at Brewton Express. Drivers are quitting each week because they are now earning an average of $0.35 per mile versus $0.46 per mile. ATS is killing driver earnings at Midwest Transport also. They also own New Energy out of Houston. ATS actually gave their company drivers a $0.03 per mile increase this month, but lowered the paid miles.

    Hi, seawind
Yep, Triple Six knows whats what
I had almost forgotten about this thread.

In considering the larger environment, nothing is stable anywhere and volatility is the name of the game.
I expect the volatility to accelerate.

I've been with a volatile company for nearly a year and have gone from totally unqualified to ride a moped to a 'phenomenal' driver.
I changed nothing during that evolution of my internal reputation.

Drivers, carriers, shippers, receivers and other players in the game are going to have to get smart about their operations.
Too many still survive on brute force, pure muscle and a bull headed approach.

If the volatility accelerates as I expect it to, people are going to be dropping like flies.
Only the those with the most polished skills - managerial, leadership and LISTENING skills - will survive.
Many of those will not survive., regardless.

I have a dire outlook and see nothing encouraging. Quite the opposite.

    Thanks, Seawind.
