There is nothing political about it, I don't get why people are injecting it into it.

Because everyone saw a few vids and pictures, and now everyone thinks they are Johnny Cochrane re-incarnated. It was an ACCIDENT. None of us were there at the scene, I'm guessing. I think the point is if he is being charged for killing someone, I doubt it was the Wal-Mart drivers intent to run down Tracy Morgan's crew and KILL them. If the Wal_mart driver is found at fault, then he is at fault. I consider killing to be the same as murder.

BINGO!
Be prepared for the knee-jerk reaction from special interest
groups famous for over sensationalizing events and demanding
more legislation that's sure to follow.
A rather distinctive odor created when the smell of
money is combined with get-evenism and opportunity.
In rare cases there's a side effect from the inhalation of the
fumes commonly referred to as "publicity" which can be spun
into a fodder and fed to the press in quantities sufficient to
improve a lackluster career that some call comedy. -
We are drivers. So we obviously would have an opinion. As for the rest of the country, Tracy Morgan is a comedian/actor who has a reputation for being a nice guy to his fans. The company involved, Walmart, is the largest retailer in the world, and does not have a good reputation. Put those two together, and you've got a story. Now take it to our world, trucking, and everything that's gone on this year, and we see far stretching implications.Marksteven Thanks this.

The Walmart driver ran into the back of Tracy's limo bus because he did not slow down due to construction and all the other traffic slowing down. It is obviously the driver's fault whether he was fatigued or just following too closely to stop in time.

By the way, falling asleep and running into someone is the textbook definition of causing a death while driving recklessly.
