Dot requires us to keep 6 months of log books. What is the best way to keep track of 6 months of logs with multiple TEAM drivers.
    What works for you?
A regular binder doesn't seem to work for me because the logs are much smaller than the binder, maybe a thicker shorter binder may work.
    Thanks

As stated above or go to electronic logs where it's automatically stored and available if needed.

I use Big Road, a smartphone app, and email it to my company email address. We create a folder on the email and store them there. If FMCSA wants to see our logs we can pull them up simply by going into our email. I print the ligs daily in my truck and have passed several level 3 inspections.

The driver is only required to have the last 7 days with him.

The carrier is required to keep them longer but they are not required to be in the truck.

Ah... But if you ARE the carrier...better figure out a way to keep them... With QualComm you have an option to fax or email them (such as if an officer wanted a paper copy) just email/fax a copy to yourself weekly... There you go...
