Hi, I am juststrting this thread to check in and give a little background about myself. I have been driving commercialy for 8 years. I started as a driver in the army (88m) then got into towing until i had the company I was working for go out of buisness right under me. Thats when I decided to get my cdl. I went to crst without any research because they were the first ad that I saw offering company paid training. I met a good co driver and made it through 8 months no problem. Then I switched to a little company from ray mi. Called Goodluck refrigerated service. That was an awesome company and I stayed there for almost two years before an old boss from the towing industry called me and made me an offer that was two good to be true... well, it actually was two good to be true and that company also went out of buisness and left me badly in debt. When I told my wife that I was going back over the road to catch up, she told me simply that she was coming with lol. I took her back to crst because we knew what the program was all about, and we have been here for 6 months including the time I was training her. I found this site while looking for information on where we could go to when her contract is up. Anyway, that was probably the longest introduction ever and most likely way more info than anybody wanted. Thanks for the great resource and wealth of information provided here, and thanks for listening (reading) to be rambling on. -John

Where is your location; city/state?There's some excellent companies running coast-to-coast where husband/wife teams can do real well.

    Michigan?

I will update my profile asap, but we are from northeast Ohio... thats why we dont want to go back to the company from michigan... 4 hour commute each way eats up a whole lot of a 34 hour weekend... if they were closer I would go back in a heartbeat.

With your experience and your wife will have 8 mos. experience; should be able to find a real good job.

    Here's some to check:

System Transport - trucks have APU's
US Express - good for teams only
Tyson Foods - good pay & benefits and 70 mph trucks
Old Dominion - lately have been hiring new cdl grads, where before needed 1 yr. exp.
Holland Enterprises - trucks have APU's

Post a question on "Experienced Drivers" thread and ask which companies are good for husband/wife teams. Maybe get some more suggestions.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will start another thread when we are a little closer to actually changing companies.
